LAUGHTER & Literacy Book Project

Have you thought about turning your kids' artwork and ideas into a book? Introducing a new Laughter and Literacy Project via Harmony Mind Body Spirit Wellness! My name is Olivia Vo, Laughter Yoga Leader with Harmony and I am a locally published bestselling author of 3 books including Heart Notes Anthology, The Impact of One Voice, and The Cinderella Monologues. It is a thrilling experience to see your words and ideas come to life in the form of a book! And writing and publishing is what I would love for your kids to be involved in too and foster lifelong literacy. To help them in creative expression, there are playful laughter exercises that they can learn and practice at any time. I have partnered up with a wonderful organization called Student Treasures and they provide free book kits. To participate is free and 1 book will be published for our Harmony MBSW team. You have the option to directly purchase a copy for your child from Student Treasures (softcover at $22.95 & hardcover at $27.95) In the spirit of Thanksgiving, our book topic will be "I am Grateful" and they can learn to express gratitude.  They can draw pictures of what or who they are grateful for and explain what gratitude means to them. 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐍𝐨𝐯 20𝐭𝐡 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 10𝐚𝐦 - 3𝐩𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬, 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫) 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭.   𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬! Your kids may draft their pictures and writing ahead of time and bring it to the event where they can transfer that onto our book pages. The books will be in landscape format and each child will have their own blank page for a drawing and then 1 ruled page for writing (8 lines). Ideally I would love to have 15-20 kids participate!  This is suitable for children ages 5-11. After our event, I will be compiling the kit and sending it in for publishing on Nov 28th. We aim to have the books ready by Dec 5th and they'll make great holiday gifts! Thank you so much!  This will be a fantastic first project and I am looking forward to more book series and topics.

In 2019 I completed my 200 hr yoga certification and have been searching for ways to serve the Jacksonville community.  I have partnered with Harmony Mind Body Spirit Wellness Nonprofit organization to bring Laughter Yoga to you in the park!! This is an excellent event for adults and kids!! Bring the entire family! 

Note: The Jacksonville Arboretum and Garden's is now charging an 3$ admission fee.
